Assistant Production Manager

Orange, CAFull-Time

SUMMARY:
This position has critical areas of responsibility for supporting daily label manufacturing operations in Orange, California including facility management, equipment maintenance, material management and collaboration with all Shamrock departments including pre-press, warehousing, shipping, finance, sales and Client Care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with Client Care department to:

o Receive daily production orders
o Consult on plate, tooling and ink requirements for label orders
o Consult on item specifications as it relates to loading new items into ERP
o Meet or exceed schedule dates set by client care.
o Communicate when schedule dates will be missed to ensure customers are properly informed.

• Warehouse oversight ensure all finished goods inventory levels are maintained to set quantities.

• Plans and manages all shipping of outbound product daily and to set specifications. Receiving of all raw material needed for production.

• Reviews production orders to ensure product data such as quantities and specifications of products are conveyed correctly to press operators.

• Plans and manages materials and supplies on-hand to ensure all production orders can be fulfilled correctly and in a timely manner. Includes fulfilling material order requisitions and coordinating with Purchasing & Warehousing to receive materials.

• Oversees collection and entry of all job data (footage, time, scrap) per the protocol set by the Director of Operations.

• Participates in the development and maintenance of standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.

• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.

ASSIST IN THE SUPERVISION OF:
Label manufacturing/shipping department in the Orange, California facility. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Who You Are

  • You can regularly call on all customers within an assigned territory, to build relationships and to develop new opportunities for sales.
  • You can conduct sales presentations through physical visits to customer locations or lead conference calls with customers to present and/or follow up on proposals when physical visits are not convenient.
  • You can prepare an annual sales budget for assigned territory and work with National Sales Manager to agree and deliver on sales for coming year.
