Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers, via telephone and email, to ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Demonstrate excellent responsiveness and follow through on customer requests
  • Obtain and evaluate all necessary information to answer customer product inquiries
  • Provide pricing and updates on expected shipment schedule
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Process stock and custom orders, per company protocol
  • Edit orders entered and prepare for internal distribution
  • Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Direct requests & unresolved issues to appropriate resources
  • Manage customer accounts
  • Record details of customer requests and resulting actions taken on behalf of customers
  • Build and maintain customer database

Sales Consultant

Job Description

Sales Consultants are responsible for working closely with customers in and out of the healthcare industry to educate them and earn additional business supplying them with Shamrock labeling products or systems. The Sales Consultant will grow a designated territory through effective time management and a deep knowledge of labeling solutions to be offered. Sales Consultants will use a friendly, consultative approach to bring solutions to new and existing Shamrock customers. This individual will develop ongoing relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.

Who You Are

  • You can regularly call on all customers within an assigned territory, to build relationships and to develop new opportunities for sales.
  • You can conduct sales presentations through physical visits to customer locations or lead conference calls with customers to present and/or follow up on proposals when physical visits are not convenient.
  • You can prepare an annual sales budget for assigned territory and work with National Sales Manager to agree and deliver on sales for coming year.
  • You can sell to a wide variety of individual customers within targeted accounts, and emphasize relevant product/service features and benefits.
  • You can prepare quotes, sample requests or order forms with accuracy and work closely with corporate office to see requests through.
  • You can build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
  • You always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • You can use marketing data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You can maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, and other documentation.
  • You can assist in creating RFP responses to potential customers.
  • You can periodically conduct information-only presentations, such as seminars, trade show demonstrations, and other efforts.
  • You can make front-line assessment of market conditions and advise company management of findings of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research.
  • You can participate in monthly conference calls with sales team to share best practices and learn about new products and opportunities that can be brought to market.
